Developmental Therapist
Brooke started working with Actualize Behavior Alternatives in 2025 out of the desire to continue pursuing her work with the special needs population. She is eager to utilize her skills as a Certified Child Life Specialist to provide psychosocial and developmental support to children and adults in community settings.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and her master’s degree in Child Life. In her training to become a Child Life Specialist, she completed over 800 hours working clinically in hospitals. Her professional background includes extensive experience working with children and adults in various settings, including healthcare, schools, and child care. She is also certified as a nursing assistant.
One of the most valuable lessons Brooke has learned from the school of hard knocks is to never apologize or be afraid of being vulnerable and authentic, as it allows you to make connections with others and helps them to feel safe with you in turn.
If Brooke could choose any superpower, it would be to read minds or time travel (how to pick only one?!)
In Brooke’s personal time, you can most often find her doing artwork, playing with her cats, watching paranormal shows, line dancing, or spending time with friends and family.
