Lead therapist/supervisor
Rose started working with Actualize Behavior Alternatives in 2019 out of the desire to help promote inclusivity and empower others to live their best lives, no matter what challenges they may face. Working in home and community-based behavioral healthcare allows Rose to share her passions for early intervention, applied behavior analysis, clinical social work, adaptive sports and recreation, and mindfulness-based practices with her clients and their caregivers.
She completed her master’s degree in social work from Adelphi University and graduated cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz with a bachelor of arts in psychology, where she served as a research assistant for developmental psychologist Tabitha Holmes. Rose has also received her Colorado State Early Childhood Teaching certificate by taking courses in Early Childhood Education at Colorado Mountain College (CMC) and is working towards obtaining her Colorado State Special Services Provider (SSP) certification as a school social worker after having taken a school social work course with Colorado State University (CSU).
One of the most valuable lessons Rose has learned from the school of hard knocks is that the quality of our lives is greatly impacted by how we respond to and perceive the events that occur, whether they are within our control or not.
If Rose could choose any superpower, it would be the power of love.
In her personal time, you can most often find her exercising on her yoga mat, exploring nature through outdoor adventure sports, expressing herself creatively through performance art, or spending quality time with her family and friends.
